« on: Apr 30, 2010, 12:27:37 PM »
ok so i wanted to get a hold of some bfg km2s but they are backordered and wont be here in time for my first trip so there canceled. My new question is how do these new mtrs with kevlar work? its gonna be on my daily driver crawler. and dont even bother mentioning the old ones i know a lot of you liked those better but i dont care i cant find a used set of olds so are the new any good?

really well we put a set of 37x12.50r17s on my friends 904runner and they are rather quiet on the street and have great traction at 4psi on the rocks and didn't get to borrow the 4runner long enough to test it out in the snow but i hear they shine there to. or you can get a set of 36inch super smaper irok radials that will be my next set

ok i think ill go with those in a 35 flavor  i like the looks of the swampers but i dont think they would wear pretty quick for road use.
Thank you for the review Dan

from what i have heard they are great in the snow, mud, rocks, and sand. hopefully they don't chunk as bad like the old ones.

i have a buddy that is running them and he loves them. now i think i need a set. they hook up super good on the rocks and do awesome in the snow and mud, i don't know about the sand factor. and good on the road. that will be the next ones i get
1985 4runner. 4.3TBI, ford 9" rear w/detroit, toy front w/detroit, longfield shafts, alcan springs, dual cases.

the old style mtr's suck around here.  a buddy of mine is diehard bfg but hated the km2 tread design so he got the mtr kevlars.  they just plain work. muddy trails with off camber hill climbs and some rock.  creek beds and steep hills.   he DD on them and wear so far looks good.  they are bigger than my 35 km2.  i dont like the look of them but they cant be denied.  37" radial rocker is still getting my savings though.
Im like Hugh Hefner minus everything good about his life.
