Hi Guys im looking for a tyre thats good on rocks and a bit of clay type mud not very thick just slippy and has a lot of gravel and rock in the mud. Also logs and the like lol.
I have seen the MTRs and they look pretty good but i cant fin info on what the actual tyre diameter is when on the truk does anyone run 35s and know the dia of tyre.Im after the 35s mainly for ground clearance and most 35s ive seen only measure 33.5on the truk so i want something that is at least 34.
The other tyre im lookin at is the simex jungle trekker 11 its a hadrcore mud tyre very aggresive and there 34s actualy measure 34.5 on the truk at 38psi so they are a big size tyre.
The only prob is being very aggresive they tend to bust axles and stuff so i think the MTRs but need a size .

Do you guys have the simex over there im in Australia.
Any help appreciated
Dave

yes swamper is a good tire and they are actually true sizes, along with procomp tires they are true sizes too least the ones ive had before were true 35 mud terrains. dont know about the mtrs thow never ran them yet.
Try looking into a set of 35/12.50/15 procomp mud terrains they wear great buddy had them on his 4runner and they went 50 thousand miles and road great and never had any problems with them and they worked great in the mud and on rocks they hooked up great.
If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

I run 35x12.50/15 MTR's and after drivling them for about 5 months on the road they measure about 33.5 to 34 inches.  hopefully this helps.

The MTR is a flat tracking tire and comes from a 3 peice mold.  It is as close to a true 35 as you will find.  I have a set and love them.

I've never heard of the 'Simex jungle trekker" who makes it? what's its deal? Oh, and people have also been going nuts over the Swamper Irok, I'm thinking of running the Irok radial (I'm a sissy like that  :stopit:)

I believe 35 inch BFG Mud Terrains actually measure from 34.5 to 35 inches.

I have the 37-12.50-17 BFG MT's and they mesure 37" w/ 39 PSI. Dunno if that helps.

I think mine were like 32" - honest! That is on a 10" rim and pretty worn tires..

i wish we got simex offroad tires here :rivers:

i wouldn't put a bfg tire up to a swamper myself.  i drive my pickup with bias LTBs on it and i like them better than my old street radials, even on the road
