« on: Dec 19, 2009, 09:16:48 PM »

I SAS'd my truck for about $1000 but depending on waht you can build yourself or find used/cheaper it can be done for half that.

I'd say $1000 bucks is a good margin..

Thanks for all the qutoes.
I would like to just make this a good snow runner with 35's and maybe some 5:29's

That is definately cheaper than I thought.
Once I get some post up I will get some pics on here of progress.

I got mine done for a $1000 without gears, a locker. or wheel spacers. And I havent rebuilt the axle yet. So yea $1500 complete is more realistic. But if you do it in stages YOu could probably drive it for a $100. :dunno:

I have a 3" block in the rear left over from my IFS lift and it matched my front perfectly.

Are pull a parts the place to score some axels?
I will have to call some local 4x shops and see what they have lying around.

Yeh I have noticed. I will have to keep checking with local people to see when things become available.
Can you put an 85 axel in and not change the rear. I am not sure if the 93;s is the same dimensions.

yes, but you have run spacers in fron still or convert to IFS hub bodies.

all the frame modifications including spring hangers can be made to save money. and if you get an axle in good shape then you can spend most of your money on suspension and steering. personaly i did mine top of the line everything and it ran me about 6500. but it can be done and functional especialy if your not doing extreme wheeling for close to 1000. finding used parts is key!!
