A 100 dollar rotisserie
« on: Feb 28, 2010, 02:27:17 AM »
Bored with 100 bucks.

So i've been thinking about doing something like this for awhile, make working/painting the frame/cab 1000 Times easier.
Thats right, a 100 dollar rotisserie. Another 100 and it will be really nice.

It started with two, $45, 1000Lb Harbor Freight Engine stands.

Cut the frame, and removed the 5 degree's tilt from the engine mount plate.

Then used 5/8's allthread and some other hardware to weld it up. I will be redoing this later with some sliding square tubbing. But the metal store was closed :-/ and i was bored. I also need to get a longer 2x4 and bolt the two together to keep them from flipping up.

I can spin the frame with one hand. Its nice. I only with i had done it earlier!!!

I like it. What you think?
