My '81 22R hilux 4x is up to some no-good fuel issues. It starts and runs fine when cold, but as soon as it hits op-temp, it wont idle, and when it does, it idles
irratically, revs. up & down. Allmost like a major vacume leak, but I can cover the carb throat w/ my hands n it dies allmost instantly.
It will run if I hold the throttle at 2000rpm, but it still sputters. I've visibly checked all of the vac. hoses & they look ok. The float level in the sight glass is high, right at the top of the upper ear. Any ideas on what could cause this? I'm allmost decided to order a carb, but still conflicted.
Any advice?
