is 2nd gen 4runner tailgate glass the same as 1st gen? shattered my back window and my runner is an 86, and i have a 93 for a parts truck. thanks

No the 2nd gen glass are more rounded and the 1st gens is more flat and squared.

Yeah there's no chance of using a second gen not only the things mentioned above it is also a little wider.

Try to keep the metal channels on the bottom of your window that go into the regulator arms. I had to buy new ones those thru toyota and they were 12 bucks each and rubber was really expensive too that goes in the channels. puttin my rear window in was way too expensive. 170 for toyota parts and found glass for 75 privately.
