quick update, the phone already had issues... apparently verizon has a 2 week return policy in store and today was day number 15... ha...

i believe the phone was broke from the day i got it but was a feature i hadn't used yet (actually calling someone!)   i spent the past two weeks just using apps, music and texting my wife.

she tried calling me the other day and i realized after a few additional calls that no one could hear me... i could put it on speaker and turn the volume up all the way.. they could BARELY hear me...

so now i'm in the process of getting a refurb in the mail... kind of a joke considering the phones only two weeks old.. but since this phone just came out i'm pretty sure it will be a new phone.

they also didn't apply my company discount so my bills not correct... awaiting them to call me back tomorrow to see if that got fixed or not...

Did you try powering the phone off and restarting it? That usually fixes the problem.

People had the same type of issue with the Droid X, it would stop working for whatever reason and then Verizon would give them a refurbished one, even those that paid for the extra warranty.  The second day I had my Droid X it wouldn't turn on, jumped on line and found out that if/when it acts up/freezes, just pop out the battery and it will reset itself.

That worked for my DROIDX too but the new DROID RAZR doesn't have a removable back to take the battery out. You have to power off.

If you haven't found it yet here is the FoxFi https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foxfi&hl=en.  It allows for a WiFi hotspot w/o charging.  If you didn't read all of the earlier posts, you can get a free program(for pc) for bluetooth or usb tether from Junefabrics.com.

my new droid razr's working great, no prob's what so ever.. my wife's new car has built in bluetooth which is kinda cool... recognizes the phone when i step into the car and i can use the voice recognition software in the car to make calls or do whatever i want. only complaint i have.. is we dont have 4G in this area yet..... 3G is slow as hell.. but once i get out of town about 25 mins the 4G kicks in and it's super fast.

Just a heads up for fellow android users.  Prior to FoxFi you had to root your phone to make it a WifFi hotspot if you didn't want to pay for ability to do so.

Have you tried rebooting it by removing the battery yet?

fyi, the droir razr doesn't have a removeable battery (not easly removeable anyway like other phones)  i wouldn't recommend it...

you have 14 days to get the phone replaced @ a verizon store.. after that they send you a "refurb" in the mail.

The razr is new enough that you get a new phone instead of a refurb. My wife's razr wouldn't power back on, went through the troubleshooting with verizon over the phone and they sent her a new one.
