i have never seen something like that for a toy truck clutch
what areits advantages, why do you want it?

i've run a ceterforce dual friction, and a marlin 1600. the marlin 1600 is the best clutch i have ever used

i run in mud and water and what happens is the pressure plate gets full of fine sand and then the pressure plate wont release fully and causes slippage . when i pull it apart and put enough wait on the diaphragm and hose it out sand comes out . so with the 3 finger it uses the springs as seen in pic . i'm hoping that it wont clog up . i've seen them somewhere i just can't rember where . i started with the marlin 1600 ceramic had the problem now running centerforce 2 daul friction and getting ready to pull that this weekend due to same problem . 2 clutch kits in 2 years the wife is'nt real happy hearing i gotta do it again

sounds like you need to find a way to seal it up in there

or if its coming in on the clutch fork maybe you need to make a hole so the mud and water can be flushed out easier

to my knowledge i dont know of anyone making a tri finger pressure plate

I'll look later today...if anyone's ever looked at Moses Ludel's "Toyota Owners Bible", I feel like there is something like what you're talking about in there. It's kind of an old book, though.

After a little searching...I remember that his book leans heavily towards landcruisers, and that seems to be what most of the 3-finger clutches are for, so I wonder if the one I saw was for a landcruiser. Is that the issue you've been running into? I'll still look at the book when I get home.

my old boss had a land cruiser that did the same thing then he went to the 3 finger and that solved the problem .  so i started to hunt around and found them for the yota truck but this was a year or so ago and i was not smart enough to save the site . thanks for any help you can offer

Yeah I'll look but all I found so far on the internet is for landcruisers.

There are a few photos of the three-finger style in the book, and it mentions that Toyota used a Japanese version of the three-finger Borg & Beck style or something like that, but I think it was the Landcruisers that used them, and I can't find anything on them by searching the internet. Good luck!
