Hey guys...its been quite a long time since I have posted up here...I FINALLY got my yota hauled up from TX to CO with the help of the Texas A&M offroad clubs genorosity to Buena Vista last weekend. I will be posting pics here shortly for my new build thread.  I bought a kit from Cary @ gotpopane and am wondering if you can use a vertical mounted forklift tank in the horozontal position??? Ferrel Gas is saying that I can, but he told me that all p/u tubes in the tank run to the center..anyone have any ideas on this???  tanks in advance

the feed tube that runs to the bottom of the tank is at an angle, if you notice on the tanks there is a slot or hole in the guard around the fittings, that a post on the tank bracket fits into to ensure the tank is mounted in the correct position to have the tube at the bottom when mounted flat. and the fitting that you screw your fuel hose onto is pointing down. most tanks have a gauge that reads the fuel level in vertical and horizontal position. be prepared to love your propane setup

Thanks guys...i'm trying to find a used tank as we speak..no luck thus far here in Grand Junction, CO.
New aluminum forklift tanks are about $170 and steel tanks are $120 and about 10lbs heavier. I might just have to run a bbq tank for the engine startup until I can find a used one..the truck is going to Safari LTD here in GJ next week to get tuned up and running right from the get-go. No need to waste a $4000 engine.
