Awe man keep him around I was getting a good laugh from his blurred view of things.

Glen ahs money???? Hey buddy ole pal share the wealth! Going to jambo? Hey I'll pull winch cable for a free ride.

V6 diffs are stronger becouse the larger bearings allow less deflection of the pinnion when things get bound up hard. I'd say the strength increase is minimal, of a v6 diff over a 4cyl diff. Both installs being equal i'd call it a 10* increase in strength, but that just my $0.2 .

Thanks for the laugh. Please bring the funny troll back.

Which is true, but they will help it in cooling also.

I went v6 5.29's with a spool. I was buying new thirds from marlin regardless and figured why not spend a couple bucks more and get the v6 rear and hp front. Even if the strength difference is minimal its still a difference. I only run 37's but if was running 39.5's i would want the piece of mind in getting the v6 third maybe even cryo the gears if you wheel yours hard. :twocents:

Yes I break r&p regularly, and the cryo v6 gears are still holding in there a year longer than the, not cryoed, front. If ever I get the high pinion up front I'm going cryo on it as well.

might I also add that Gittinit absolutely GIT"S IT in his rig,  22R bored .060  over with 38 weber, 5 speed dual cases and locked front and rear on 36 Iroks
he does it ALL, from crawlin in extreme wedged between a rock and a hard place to going up loose rock hill climbs at 5000 rpm

our good friend Dennis has a almost identically set up truck as Gittinits  and a few months ago was going up a waterfall at full throttle in double low gear bounced once and as he came down on the right rear axle severely twisted the right axle shaft and grenaded his diff,   but believe me, these two guys are :screwy:

I have never had it done personally but I know it has helped allot of people. So if I ever step up to anything bigger than a 37 or if a I break a ring and pinion I will have the next set cryo'd. I heard that Twisted customs was changing out gears after every race in their comp buggy's with hp Dana 60's and after getting gears cryo'd they would last a while longer.

what I am planning to do is finding 2 diffs from a v6 pickup or 4runner(I was told they come with 4.56 or 4.88), and put a lockrite in the back.  If you are considering a arb or a elocker in the front, do it for the back as well.
