Topic: 2rz-fe into the 83 Hilux

Hello,

Well its time for the ol 22r to get the boot. Its to be replace by a 2004 2RZ-FE with 15k on the clock. I figured I would post up as I go here. That and this seems like the Mecca of RZ swap. Been around cruisers and Hiluxs for a long time. Built many of them up but never had to do much wiring so I am sure its the part of the built that will be

Anywho the 1983 Hilux has a new Dual Ultimate from Marlin in it and a new W-56 tranny, HP E-locker front and e-locked rear, some tube protection, M-8000, 2000 4 runner rims and 285/85/r16s, and a crappy Downey lift (needs to go). Thats all for now havn't had it too long but have done the work all myself.I got it when I  took a surf trip to see Pearl Jam and brought it on home with me. Hands down an awesome trip... Enough yappin for now. Looks like I can't post a picture of it now and will have to get an account at Photobucket.

I have a 84' 22r Ive been wanting too use as a boat anchor....Im curious too see how the wiring etc goes?  Are you buying the wiring harness and engine separate?  Theres a co. in cordova that sells them complete....I've been thinking of going that route...$1,500  for motor and all wiring?  Good deal or no?  I can do just about everything on my truck except build 3rds.  I think Im capable of doing the motor swap, just dont want to get in over my head!   Sweet rig, cant wait to see pics!
