when i first did mine i used the 4" one and i had a 2" body lift and was clearing 37's pretty easy.
you would be fine to go with a 4 or 5

probably marlins. i have been doing alot of reading and it sounds like to me that he has the best stuff. im gonna do the kit front and rear. so you think 4inch kit f/r will fit 36s with no body lift?

Yeah, and a little trim. Just move the axle up as far as you can to clear the firewall.

You will have to trim fender.... i would get 5" and get the front axle as far forward as you can though

Plenty of people run the 4" with 36 without issues

yeah if i would have taken off my body lift i would have still cleared the 37's ok.
but definately move that front axle forward. and if you end up just welding the hanger flush i would suggest going with an allpro front spring. thats what i just switched too from the marlins and they moved my axle quite a bit forward

You're going to want to upgrade your birfs/inners too if you run a detroit in the front

if i was you i would start with 36s and the 4in leafs and then down the road you can do a little more trimming and get those 38s on.

you can get the 3" kit and clear those 36s. do you have a body lift? it doesnt sound like it. just try and get your front axle as far forward as you can and pound back the firewall/pinch weld. you could even look around for some old toyota rears and make a front spring pack for real cheap to save yourself some cash and then order the rest of the kit. it will push your front end out even further. i started out with a marlin 4" kit and was running 37s with a 2" body lift. right now i have around 4" of lift and 42s fitting easily. my fenders are cut just a little bit though. i mixed in some toy rears with my marlin pack and the springs are pretty flat. just whatever you do, dont get anything above the 4" springs just to fit a tire down the road. make everything fit. you will like it.

ok badass sounds like you can do alot with just the 4inch kit. the sas might take away because i go to school, work part time getting 8.50 at les schwab so it could be a little bit before i have enough for the kit. so does any one have ideas on the rear thats cheap if i do a marlin 4inch front kit but could i do to make the rear match the front without buying a kit?

i would use the 4in rear springs and then do Rears up Front if you wanna save money on some part.  this is my truck on 36in Iroks, no rubbing, RUF, and marlin 4in rear springs.
