Topic: Diagnostic Codes

 Did a check and came up with code #10. My manual says starter relay signal or speed sensor. Does'nt make sense Truck starts fine, just erattic idle and bad gas mileage. Also rich smelling exhaust. 85' 22RE.  Thanks for any feedback

it is also a code for bad ECU.  are you sure you read the code right?

When I first turn the key, there's 1 quick flash of the check engine light, followed by 10 flashes. The 10 flashes repeat several times. I'll try pulling the codes again today. Thanks for the input

Ok, so today I removed the throttle body,cleaned it,and replaced the gasket. I also checked the ohm readings of the TPS. Looks like I need a new one.   Rechecked the codes and came back with a code 7.  So should I replace it with a new one($$$) or look for a used one? It has to pass smog next month (CA SmogCheck II) Test Only
