I tried searching but could not find exactly what I want to know, and that is............ how exactly do you test the ignitor. The truck is a 91 22re, it cranks but doesn't start. I had it running yesterday but my coil was shorting out and I think it fried my ignitor along with my tach. I just replaced my fuel pump so I hope my new pump didn't just die.

Thanks I will play around with it later, but for now I am just going to go get one from the guy that I got my tranny from he has quite a few of them. I hope I can get it to run again so I can replace my w56c( has no first gear) with another one that I hope is all good.

Thank for the link to the FSM it will be very helpful in the future. I swapped my igniter today and got my truck running so I guess my coil did fry my igniter, but it is fixed now thanks for the help. keep on crawling.
