Drove it about a total of 15 miles like this:

and than this happened:

So she sat like this for a few weeks while I fixed the diff

Turned out the spool was warped/bent so the ring/pinion couldnt make good contact. Switched it out for a welded stock carrier and these:

Got it in and started working on other stuff:
Clearancing IFS cv shaft

Mocking sliders up

Riding with the gangster lean.

Drove around like that for a little while, and got super tired or staring at the sky. took the marlin pack out and made me a custom pack out of rears.

Much better:

and that is how she sits right now. Longs and duals coming soon.

For a review, 86 4runner dlx, SAS swapped, 35" mtrs, 5.29s welded rear, aussie front, and much more that needs to be done.

Yeah thanks Russ.

I was gonna wait till it was done but I think having it running is close enough.

Alright so might as well update this a little. Got some new parts in and some old parts on.

Swapped the 14" shocks up front for some 12's. Get a bit more flex. Longs are going in along with some electrical upgrading. Truck made it from SLO to LA than got a bad wobble. found out the spindle nut was coming undone. took it all apart and retorqued than drove it out to jv for tinbenders. didnt run any trails but it did get dirty.

Next on the list is to finish up the longs and the electrical work. New clutch, hopefully duals, and possibly some 37's. Need to get as much done as possible before Memorial day weekend.

I like having friends who can weld nicely.
