Another Quick ?
« on: Dec 08, 2009, 12:51:30 PM »
Under the hood there is a plug that will make your fuel pump run anytime the key is on. Well I have had to jumper this to make my runner start and run. now my question is what am I jumping. I need to fix this so it will run right. there is no fuel pump relay like I have been told. any help would be great. I can get a pic if needed.

This is the fuel pump jumper you are looking for, 3/4" wide 1/4" deep near the DS inner fender

and im kind of confused what you mean by jump it? I would assume there is a problem with the wire to your acc, as in when your ingnitions on does everything else work that is supposed to work when teh key is on, stereo comes on, dash lights if the parking lights are on thinks of that nature? heat all that good stuff? if so then I would say it is just the wire going to this switch if I am far off tract im sorry but thats what I got from the post. I would say if its not a reg fuse then its fused or relayed somehow have you checked both kick panels and the ones under the the hood replaced them? if not I would try because sometimes if on fuse goes out with that stuff it will effect others because toyotas are a circut so if one fails a lot fails you know? like my O2 wiring got messed up and that cause me not to get spark haha.

Are you sure about NO relay?

On my 86, the jumper will ground the relay so the fuel pump stays on............
