removing the smog

need a little help got a 86  toyota truck was wanting to know if any body out there has took there smog stuff off there 22r ( carbed) if so could  they send me some pic on how to go about it..         thanks  pie

 :therethere: it isnt legal in most states, if any to tamper w/ emission devices on vehicles driven on the highway, so check your state laws! definitely not legal in ca. the public library usually has a great selection of service manuals, they have vacuum and wiring diagrams. be sure to bring some change for copy machine, these books are reference only and cannot be checked out. i helped a friend remove his stuff, and basically plugged a bunch of old ports eliminating all of those leaking hoses @ the base of carb, again not a street legal modification. :driving:

doneednostinkinbadges...I made plates for everything,kept my pcv,put a breather on my valve cover,removed all egr stuff,bye bye cat,etc.but my trucks older ,I dont have a computer

mine is a 86 22r im in tn . isnt illegal to take off. id like to see some pics to get a idea on what to do . i dont know what to do and dont want to just start pulling hoses off. im just got done rebuilding my motor , and only thing i got to put on is the intake and smog junck just wanting to see what i can leave off. so some pic from anybody out there would really really helpful.   thanks pie

here in Tx. they could care less what you do to smog after it's 25 years old. i'll do mine here in a few years probably.

Nothing to be gained removing it, unless you putting side drafts on it, forget it.

it really dont need that smog crap, might not help it but want hurt it eather. it well get rid of the cluster of vacuum lines .
