2000 4 Runner Lift
« on: Nov 05, 2009, 01:42:07 PM »
I am confused, i recently sold my 84 Pickup to a guy here in Hawaii.  I bought a 2000 4runner and I can not find anyone that sell lift kits for it.  I don't want to go crazy but would like it to look better.  I am thinking most sites that sell lift kits sell them for tacos and i am thinking they are the same, am i right in thinking that? Anyinfo would be great.

thr front is the same yes. rear is not, total chaos, fabtech have kits for you, spendy though.

if you only want 2-3 inches, get a revtech front, and a coil spacer or landcruiser coils for the rear, wala!

Get these for the front. http://www.ntwonline.com/9604_TOYOTA_TACOMA_BILSTEIN_5100_LEVELING_STR_P13610.cfm

They work great and give you 2.5" of lift on the highest adjustment. Most of the time these trucks need new struts anyway. I have them on my Tacoma and love them. Great ride quality and handling. Good price too. They get rid of typical tacoma and 4runner front end bounce from not having enough shock dampening. Get spacers or springs for the rear. You'll be able to clear 33's.

for 299 you can get 3" of lift, thats spacers in the front and new coils in the rear and for 30 more you can get it with the diff drop. put this on my wife tacoma (add-a-leaf in the rear) and it works very nice and you can fit 285/75/16 with the lift.

I went with the Revtek 3" coil spacer kit and its workin fine.  I'm fittin 285's (33") and haven't had any problem with rubbing at all so far.  I got the kit for around $340.  I dont have any regrets with the kit so far.
It's only tough if you weren't built for it
