Where to get rebuilt 22r
« on: Oct 15, 2007, 01:08:32 PM »
Hey guys.  Ive been looking around for a 22r for a while.  my parents just told me that they would help me out on buying one for xmas.  so i figure ill go buy a rebuilt 22r for a company.  Any reccommendations on good companies that will back up their work around Fresno?

Yeah good luck! you can get a rebuild kit from ENGNBLDR if he still sells them for early 22rs. You also better hope your head is good because nobody sells new or rebuilt ones anymore

You can get one from ATK, but it'll cost you around $1700 :ack:

Another place that does 22Rs.  $995 plus $300 core and shipping of about $100 I'd guess.

Go talk to Dave Hiatt  machine shop in clovis.
A kit engine for a 22r is around $975.00 less if u do a lot of the work ur self.
he is located around the corner and south of extreme off road.
and just east of the bar there on railroad ave.

If u want a totally rebuilt with warrenty try these guys in placerville.  they are about the cheapest engines around with a warrenty.  Everybody else around here wants at least $1500
for a long block.

From who?

Sadly, everybody I've ever talked to who's dealt with them.  Could shrug off a couple bad deals, but it seem too consistent.
