toyota hyrid leaf packs..... how much lift
« on: Sep 17, 2007, 01:12:33 AM »
so a stock 87 4cyl leaf pack is 3leafs and an overload... stock height.

how much lift  would a hyrid 6pack with the overload on top of the whole pack... give.... to the rear... and how much could it give if put on front of an SAS.

If you put the toy rears in front it depends on the other springs you put in the pack. I'm running toy rears with 1 6" leaf from a chevy front spring and 4" yj springs
The statistic on sanity is that One in every four is insane, Think of your three best friends if they're ok then its you.

5 rear stock leafs, the one with the eye and with the overload on top of the whole pack.... basically two stock rears stacked together..

whats the projected lift if put on the rear...
and whats the projected lift if put put front?

If put on the front, You're probably looking at atleast 4" I have rears up front with 1 f-150 leaf on the bottom and I got 4" with 6" schackles

cause a stock rear give aout 3in. in front and those are 3packs with the overload on bottom.

Baconator and I are going to try different combinations for the front to get about 4-5in of lift and good flex.
I havent decided if i want chevys or ford rears yet.
I am a Toyota and Ford Guy  myself..... i dont like any other vehicles..

so any input on those would help too.
pros and cons?

I just got my truck on all fours. I have to get a front driveline in. So i haven't had a chance to flex it out yet. But the f-150's seem super soft. and the rears up front i love. The truck rides so much better. I will get some pictures tomorrow and flex it out as much as I can for ya. and the packs I put up front turned into a 4 leaf pack with no overload.

The overload on my 87 rear pack is straight....I dont see how you would get it up front, especially on top.  I am gonna mix the 3 leaf rear pack with some Marlin 4" lift front springs.

you have to modify it. and bacon and i will try it. we'll have 4 overloads... so messing with one set wont hurt.

I am gonna mix the 3 leaf rear pack with some Marlin 4" lift front springs.
