planning an expedition
« on: Aug 15, 2007, 10:38:18 PM »
I am in the first stages of planning an expedition, leaving from home in Tracy CA and heading through Oregon into Washington, maybe touch Canada , over to Idaho then back south. Might even go all the way down to Mexico and then back up to home. I want to make this as much off highway as possible. I have been looking at the back country discovery routes and think this might be a good general route to take. If any one has input I would love to here it. Side routes places to see, time of year. etc. Part of the purpose of this trip would be to spread the word about all of the road closures to the off road community. Info on organized events that might coincide with this trip would be help full. Any input from off road suppliers , manufactures, clubs, organizations and the like is also welcome. Input on publicity would also be welcome.
