I would never wear a helmet while wheelin. I only wear my lap belt unless I get into and area that I have a good chance of rolling. I have a buddy that wears a helmet on the trials. I feel safer in my buggy than I do in my other trucks. I even had a DPS officer tell me that my buggy is probly safer for me than my other trucks.
Being as tall as I am, this is what would concern me. Personally, I know I'm not going to hit my head on a rock outside the cab, rather I'm going to slam my temple and or cheekbone into the the window frame When I get around to putting a cage in my truck, the padding is going on nice and thick

i wonder if that cb mounted right there had anything to do with that?
I'z thinkin it would match Brads flatbed
Not to be argumentative...but, how could wearing a helmet on a bike ever be bad?
on a bike? if the helmet hits at a bad angle even at slow speeds can cause neck injury unless u have a neck brace
thats how i feel bigmike. if you want to wear a helmet, then wear it. if you dont want to, thats your choice and your right.
this is common with younger kids. I know full face helmets are popular for kids but they weigh more than a regular helmet and can cause neck injuries. Did't Dale Earnhardt die from nect injuries that were caused by the weight and extereme movement that his neck couldnt handle. I doubt we would see any force that great while wheelin Drew
Here's a good way to encourage use in your rig. Remove all of the speakers from your stereo system, connect jacks for each seat, and get one of the Azonic helmets for each. No helmet, no tunes!! And, no, you would not HAVE to wear the helmet (unless you like music).
