Flex a lite makes different models of fans that flow different amounts of CFMs.
What model of fan is it?

Make sure your fan blades are the same direction of the stock fan & you have it installed right. Do you still have the fan shrous on?  :twocents:

i have a black magic electric flex-a-lite and I'm not impressed by it's cooling capabilities,  with the old asin it never overheated even with a old radiator.  Fan shroud is very important though that is what helps the fan suck the on comming air through.

its electric...what are the thin metal fans?

the ones I have come with there own shroud. your does not? just a fan on a mount?

if so you could use a shroud.

don't worry about the thin metal ones ? glad you don't have one.

lets see some pics of your setup :eyebrow:
i am curious to check that out and the wiring.

are the flex-a-lites and taurus fans much lighter that stock?
i bought a flex a lite back a few weeks ago and i have had some overheating issues since. im not sure if its the radiator or the fan. when i had my clutch fan in i never really wheeled to hard. do the flex a lites produce enough cfm typically? how do you know when a radiator is clogged?

is the fan turning on at the correct times/temps? is it spinning at the correct rate at those temps?  :dunno:

i can send some pics tomorrow but how would i know the correct rpm's i have an adjustable thermo switch and i put it where operating temp is normally. not sure exactly what temp that is but i know where it is on my gauge....i do know that it is a single stage switch. so its either on or off-thats it.

ok so i did a mod that hopefully works...i put the old clutch fan back on, then i used longer bolts and spacers to bring the radiator closer to the engine to allow for space for my electric fan. now may clutch fan pulls and i rewired the electric to push. only problem is that i think the clutch fan is cooling my thermo sensor so my electric fan doesnt come on at the right time. i have to find a place where it can go on and off at the right time. ill post pics if anybody can tell me how to make them smaller. cant figure it out without making them so tiny you cant see!
