I run Pilots as rock lights but wouldn't say they could light up a mountain.

Plan on extra power for your offroad light as they do consume alot of juice.

1) Consider a relay setup for your lights
2) A second battery would be great for a reserve but not necessary
3)A bigger alternator is a must as the demand with the lights will leave you with a dead battery if you sit (stuck) and leave lights on it will suck the life out of your battery

4) If you choose to do the dual battery setup A battery isolator is a good idea they run about 60.00

5 ) calculate what your load will be for the lights you add and plan accordingly that is key to you getting out of the dark after the engine stalls.

Good luck

go with kc's 23 year warrenty cant beat that. I live twenty minutes from the factory and get factory seconds for cheap and the warrenty still applies. good customer service.

While I can't speak for KC, I put Hella lamps in and they are AWESOME!  Floods the road with light, especially when the high beams are on.  Crazy amount of light and distance.

i want a set of huge lightforce lights, i think they are jsut cool ;)

i have run a set of hella 500s and they were decent, also had a set of hella knock offs that were $30 @ pepboys....

i have heard that the kcs are a much better light though...

the hellas i had had a plastic mount, and that ultimately became their demise, i tried to adjust the lights one day and snapped the housing
