lift questino for a newbie

im a newb to toys, but have been in suzukis for ~3 years, i have a spare set of 31' x 12.50 supersweamper SSR's and want to put them on thy 1990 4wd toyota p/u. how much lift and what type of backspacing will i need?

u could run those with no lift, or get some shackles for the rear and crank the torsion bars up a little in the front, but dont forget to get it realighned

u could run those with no lift, or get some shackles for the rear and crank the torsion bars up a little in the front, but dont forget to get it realighned
yea but they are WIDE. 10.5 would be perfect. correct BS might help but u will still might have some rubbing

i already have the tires. was wondering if 2" BS wheels and a 1" body lift would be ok

dont do it, body lifts suck, are u rinning the stock rims?
i have a nice set of aluminum rims for sale that would work great

right now it has stock rims, i was gonna buy some 15x8's

yes  that would work fine,  personally  i would find some 15x10 wheels  for a 12.5 tire  but thats just me

a 1 inch body lift is fine,  andything more is  NOT A GOOD THING

not to argue, but i had them on a 15x8 rim before and i never had a problem with breaking a bead at 0 psi

i personaly wouldnt run a 10" wide rim unless the tire was wider than 12.5, cuz i blew alot of beads with that setup, an 8 or 9 wide rim works great with 12.5 wide tires

2" of back spacing seems like a little much for a tire thats only 12.5 wide. i would go with a 3-3.5" back spacing. thats just my opinion though.
