motors?

 hey iv got a 3.0L and i am thinking about puting a diffrent motor in my pickup. what would you guys recommend.
I like the 22r but i think i want more power than that. but i was thinking of going with the 4.3L vortec.
but i don't know.

3.4l v6  toy  motor.  Uses a lot of the same components as the 3.0, you can use your tranny, and ORS has a wiring harness that works out really well for the swap.  Read more about it here

I vote 4.3.  Cheaper to obtain.

4.3 would be cheaper than the 3.4. if your heart set on a toyota engine id say 3.4. but if not find a vortec 4.3...otherwise there garbage

There was nothing wrong with the TBI 4.3L and it's not considered a Vortec.  In fact the wiring on them is very minimal.

I agree, and it just so happens I have one of those for sale! (in parts for sale)

I don't like the fuel set up on the vortec, anyone who's seen the pastic lines coming out the the center pump would know what I'm talking about.
