Topic: H1 Beadlocks

Ok guys I have a question about these wheels. I have searched google, pirate, and here and I cannot seem to get a straight answer. This is the way I understand they are setup PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. I am wanting to run the 8 bolt wheels and I am trying to decide on which beadlock insert to run. I am trying to keep the cost down so the aftermarket pvc ones are not an option at this time. So that leaves me with either the magnesium or the rubber. I am leaning away from the magnesium ones because of the chance of cutting a tire if you don't cut them down enough. So that leaves the rubber insert. From the info I have found the rubber comes in two pieces, the actual beadlock and the runflat RIGHT?
So I guess my main question is can I run the 8 bolt wheels with just the rubber beadlock and leave the runflat out? I just want to make sure that this will work before I order my stuff.

Did you see this article on pirate4x4, http://www.pirate4x4.com/articles/tech/billavista/PR-Hummer_Rims . These are modified hummer wheels that a guy up in the Sacramento area fixes up. When I get my junk running, these are the wheels i want to run. The re-bar re-enforcement is pretty burly.

Yeah I have read that article. But it doesn't give any details about the rubber inserts. I read some where that the rubber inserts were for the 12 bolt version wheels only and I had another guy tell me that it did not matter which inserts you use. So thats what I am trying to figure out is will the rubber insert work on the 8 bolt wheels.

At the end of the article the writer says that they now offer a lighter metal frame that is in 2 pieces that lock together so that they are easier to install, and lighter than the PVC inserts, and they are cheaper.
