Setting up a parking brake

I have put a full width Chevy rear end in my 4runner( http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=11006.msg173829#msg173829) and i want to know what will be the best way for me to connect the factory parking brake mechanism to the Chev rear end?  Any body please help i am currently baffled  :headscratch: as to what to do.

probably easier to swap disc brakes onto the 12 bolt using Caddy calipers with the parking brake built in.

I am going to guess that you have two separate cables comming from the rear and need to connect them to a single cable. I had a similar problem and found a quick fix. I used a hand brake lever and ran a cable around back through the firewall to the back of the brake pedal. This does two things, it works all four wheels and gives you a way to control the brakes with your hand while you use your feet for the gas and clutch.

otherwise you will need to makeup some kind of connection between the three cables.

well now i am getting to put a d44 in the front of the runner and i am in need of the proper pitman arm(for a crossover steering).  anybody have one that is used and are willing to let it go.  need to be able to put the tie rod end through the arm.  Thank you
