hard question for me?
« on: Sep 06, 2007, 08:31:42 PM »
I just boughta truck from my friend and i don't know what kind of model it is. I've had the standerd cab, x-tra cab. But this truck has the length of a crew cab with no doors and the roof rises up higher than the front roof. What's good about the truck is not only the different looks, but it's a turbo model. Anybody got pictures of this kind of truck and can shed light on my question! Oh and the truck is an 86. I'm from hawaii and this is the first for me. ALOHA AND MAHALO.

Sounds like you found yourself a Custom Cab toyota. 79coyotefrg has it right winnebago did these conversions for a few years in the first gen and second generation 4x4 trucks. They are most common in the second generation body style. Funny one found its way to hawaii, usualy these are most common on the west coast. A kid I go to school with has THREE of em, well two now cuz some piece of :pokinit: stole one of em. Its cool you've got one in a turbo. IMO those things are way too long (147" Wheelbase!!!  :yikes:) but as long as you arent wheeling it they are definitely a unique piece of Toyota history.

This is what you've got right?

You could wheel it but they are so long you are just going to get hung up on everything, especially with the IFS. It would be a sweet beach comber though, toss in a rear locker and some meats and it would be cool. Whatever you do, keep us posted!
