Transfer case on a 2wd tranny?
« on: Oct 11, 2003, 01:47:02 PM »
I'm in process of lifting, moding, etc. my 2wd truck.
Thinking I'd like to have at the minimum a low range, but I think I'll SAS it as well.
I have an auto transmission (A43D I think).  Is it possiblt to remove the tail piece and bolt on an auto transfer case?
Thanks!

well thats a good question,  mike gotta answer on this? :help:  i think this has come up before,  this would be a good idea if marlin has time to custom make something.  maybe a divorced trans case would do

Hey, yeah I have a similar question.

Hi, I'm a new 'Yota fan. I've been wheelin' 1-ton Fords and Blazers for quite a while though.

Anyway, I have access to a 1995 22RE and 5spd Trans from a 2wd pickup. Can a T-case (or crawler) be adapted to the trans? Is the trans worth the effort? Is the project worth the effort?

Thanks!
