forward shifter tcase

i searched for my answer and didnt find the answer. i have an 81 toyota truck that has the top shifter t-case in it also the truck came with another transmission and t-case which he says came out of an 89 but it has the forward t-case in it can i use this for the crawl box and use the top shifter for the front or am i all mixed up  :smack:  im trying to avoid having to buy the conversion kit for the forward shifting to a top shifter thanks for any help :beerchug:

you sure you wrote that right? 81's come with forward shift and 89's come with top shifts...or he may have swapped them already.

Anyhow, if your rig has the top shift in it, your good. Crawl box and adaptor plate will bolt right up to your top shift 4 cyl. t-case.

the 89 transmission has a forward shifter on the t-case and im assuming the 81 came with a top shifter  t-case its all still stock
I need a running 22r

dude, you can use the 89 tranny  and tcase crawl box and then put the top shift as the rear case

cool thanks  the guy threw the tranny in with the truck. this is alittle off topic, how hard is it to come by a v6 rearend complete :beerchug:

usually by luck   :thud:   i lucked out and snagged a elocker with busted gears for $250
