Alright so my engine was leaking a ton of oil right, and we found out the problem was whenever I would give it alot of throttle the dip stick would come of the holder just enough to leak oil EVERYWHERE. So i took a tiny o-ring and out it on the dipstick so it would seal nice and tight. No more leak.
UNTIL.... the next morning when i was driving to work..i hear this pssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhh POP. Well what had happened was the little crescent moon thing on the back of the valve cover had literally shot out from the cover and hit my hood, sending oil everywhere of course
So my question is: Because i put the o-ring on my dipstick to keep the pressure from shooting it out, did that pressure just go to the valve cover and shoot the crescent moon out? So if i were to replace the crescent moon thing(i know it has a real name
![I Dunno... :dunno:](https://board.marlincrawler.com/Smileys/marlin/dunno.gif)
) would it just shoot out again???
