CLOCKWORK ORANGE - The buildup thread
« on: May 23, 2005, 10:55:26 PM »
here it is when I first got it... :shudder:

current state...  :haha:   :joke:  :hahaha:  :ha_ha:  :talkingn:

since I've gotten it to my grandpa's house, I have gotten the engine ready to be pulled, with the exception of the motor mounts and the top tranny bolts. I haven't slapped my other engine together yet, but as soon as I do, it will go into a clean-looking ( sort of ) engine bay, and after I get it installed, I will take pics of a couple of "special" items that I have added to the visual scheme. Also, I have a few items that need to be completed before I put them on the truck, but I need to get it running first. More to come later on.

well, as I was pulling my engine out, I noticed that my gear oil in the tranny was a greyish color, so I pulled the engine, tranny & T-case out from under the hood, how fun. Pics to come later. It's w/out the hood, doors, or drivelines.

yesterday, Blackdog & waffler came down & helped me set the new engine in the bay, minus all the stuff needed to run ( head, carb, exhaust, tranny, etc. ) since they were coming down to the area anyway, so thanks to them for the help.

ok, got the head and head gasket on, timing chain on the cam, rockers torqued down, put the valve cover on, and wouldn't you know it, I forgot to put the bolt below the distributor on. Glad I remembered it before I put the rest of the junk on.
