With a little practice and about a 36 degree angle set on a chop saw or a bandsaw, you can make perfect notches.

This is true except its 26 degrees ( for 1.5 inch tube)   but between the two the notchmaster is the way to go. Iv been using it for over a year now and its a solid piece of equipment. If you can spring for the extra coin the baileigh tn-250 is the best hole saw notcher you can buy in my opinion.  All of them will work, just depends on how much you plan to use it.
