im not saying weld is good or bad. im spool rear and weld front. I decided to go with a spool in the back, mostly because i absolutely need that to work to get me home, the front not so much. a few bucks to have more of a sure thing where it counts. my :twocents:

also depends on if you need to setup gears, if you just want to do it to your exsisting gears just weld it.
x2.  i got my spool for $80 shipped new.  then again, amount of wire you probably use to weld it up is around $2 i'm guessing.  more of peace of mind thing for me though.
