I had to torque the HELL out of my fittings for my Wix fuel filter when I installed it. And luckily, I mounted it on the passenger inner fender and I could see the leak.  It was spraying a stream out of the sides of the filter. I had to put what felt like 100 ft. lbs. of torque on both sides of the fuel filter to make it stop leaking. And this is with brand new copper washers. But all is good now.
