I hope you plan on using a factory toyota head gasket since you're going to all this trouble! No sense in throwing junk in there and risking the inevitable
Last time I lapped in my valves I tried the drill trick but found they cut in faster doing it by hand, which sucked for me cause I'm pretty lazy and was looking for the quicker way.
