Re: BRAKE CALIPERS

You guys got me considering a caliper upgrade for my 1988 pickup now. Mines stock with 22RE.

I know the V6 calipers are supposed to bolt right on. Are there any clearance issues with 15 inch wheels? I have 31/10.50/15's on cheapy chrome modular steel wheels.

How about the master cyl and booster? My son's 91 4 cyl pickup has stock brakes and stops WAY better than mine. His truck has a dual can booster. His truck can put you through the windshield with little pedal effort. Mine feels like non power brakes compared to his.

Would I be able to bolt that type booster/master cyl on in combination with the V6 calipers for major braking improvements?

There is a lot of misinformation out there. Is it true that 93 up 4Runner brakes would be the parts to get?
