Can you get pics of the broken studs?  Good pics. 
Alot of times, studs will break for several reasons.  Over/under torqued.  Old and weak studs. 
Did you put some loctite on them when installed?  And periodically check them with a torque wrench.  This is the one downside of running spacers, but with some checking from time to time, you shouldn't have any problems.
