I would get angle and bolt it down to the bed rails, them mount the wood rack off of that. its how i mounted my rack. even if you mount a stack pocket like you posted, it would be stronger. Like 1/8 angle would be good. 3/16 maybe even 1/4. I bet if you weld or bolt the pocket to the sheet metal after time it will tear on you
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?
