Topic: 1990 4runner roof racks

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the 1990 4runner without factory racks still have the holes pre-fitted under the sheet metal roof? i did not want to pull the head liner if i didn't have to.

no they dont. the roof racked ones had a little aluminum insert that it screwes into. you have to drop the headliner to do it. or use an after market door jam mounting system but the are pricy. if you drill some holes in the roof make sure you hit something pretty solid and seal them up good.
