there is evidence of global warming followed by ice age time after time in the layers of the earth. it has been happening before there was ever any kind of "human caused" elements around. Humans might help it along, but it has happened and is going to happen regardless of what we do. But then again, what would I know, I'm just a geologist that has to study this for a living
