Hey,

I just put a g52 in my runner where a w56 once belonged, I called Marlin and he told me the following.
-you'll need a new shift boot, the g52 points towards the driver with the main shifter and away at the tcase boot goes away
-the g52 was originally designed for trucks with a bench seat, hence the funny shifter placement
-the g52 is 30% weaker, with a lower reverse gear and a .02 higher first gear ratio (big deal)
-but as to your question, marlin told me that everything else is totally the same, same output, same bellhousing pattern, the whole shibang.  Does that help?  somebody feel free to edit if I made some mistakes, but I'm passing on everything exactly as  it was told to me.  good luck :)
