Yeah was about '95 they started to introduce IFS but you could still buy a live axle '97 - the gen 4's came out in '98 and they were all IFS but the setup is the same as your 87-95 p/up so a lot of products have been developed which bolt up to our later model Lux's, mine being the last of them '04 with this set-up.
