ive got a 2wd rear axle off an 84 that uses a 4wd 4cyl carrier, it came with 3.05's and i put in a 4.10 3rd member, so there are some 2wds that are runnin a 8" ring gear, but most use the 7.5 ring gear, the same as in ifs front end, so gears and lockers are available for it, either way
