My wife tried to load XP on her notebook, but her wireless card will only work the Vista. A friend of mine got a Dell because he could still get XP but also noted that the wireless card was specific to the OS. XP may not work with all of your hardware if you have a new computer that came with Vista, there are driver issues by design.
