how did it work??  :sad2:

Well, at testing it worked ok. But needs refining. Since I was the one that did the work and design, Im responsible for the failure. It failed on the Rubicon due to a poor bump stop design. The 4" poly stops actually pealed off the plate they were adheared to. (aftermarket parts)
That combined with and 45* shackle angle, caused more travel both up and down and the drive side springs failed. Further more the steering rubbs a on itself, due to the suspension cycleing forward into the pitman arm. If I were to move the bracket back about 1.5" or 2" the steering issue would be fixed. Better bump stops are needed. In addition it this a small stop behind the shackles is needed to stop them from inverting. I didn't think they would invert as easily as they did. I was surprised by this.
On the plus side the 42" IROKS cleared the fenders by about 4". So moving the axle back 2" won't be a problem.
If you can protect the shackle enough, I still believe that this is agreat way to go for people that don't want to cut up there truck, even with the problems that I had on the original design. It was better than the alternative which was either rip a new 42 IROK or destroy the fenders by not reversing the shackles.
As to wether I'll get a chance to work on it again or not remains tobe seen. Ron's pretty POed at me.
