I was running a buick 4.1 engine 200+ hp with 4:88's and 33's behind a g52 transmission for a while and it sucked as far as drivability way too much gear and terrible gas mileage but I never liked the 4 cyl with the 4:88's with 33's it was too much gear. and I got about the same mileage.  I now have 4:56 gears and a r150f v6 tranny and 35's and dual cases it should be a lot more streetable with the torque of the v6 since it is set up for low end to mid range torque rather than top end hp.

with the 4:88's and 33's I was just winding everywhere I went and 55 with in 5th the engine was running in the 35-3600 rpm range to go 65 it was really winding. I went to 35's and that helped a little but I still didn't like it.

it felt like a drag car with low gears with the old set up.

so the gearing will make a big difference and it may be worth it for the mileage differences to have the extra power

have you looked into the 5 mg and 7 mg engine swaps they offer about the same gas mileage with lots more power
but more power usually means more breakage too.

I like the super charger idea too and the extra injector too get ya 300 hp. just watch out for the transmission at that level.
too much spent to go slow
too much spent to stay low
too much spent on the go
but it's fun you know
