removed transmission case today. yes the aluminum came from the shift forks. both 1 & 2 shift forks have the leading tips broke off. on the bright side all the gears and shift shafts look good. the reverse gear has a few chips broke off on the engagement side. may be useable.. check replacement price... then decide.
