I didn't realize that Robert Knievel spelled his stage name "Evel" not "Evil".
I grew up in the Evel Knievel era, riding my bike around the neighborhood, trying to jump everything in sight.
I had the little windup toy that was used and abused too.
He may have been a "badass", but I heard on a program today that the real Robert Knievel (like so many other celebrities) was an "
" for much of his life.
In fact, recently he tried to make amends by meeting with Rev. Robert Schuller at the Crystal Cathedral in Orange County. Hopefully he resolved whatever issues he had before his passing.
